APPLICANTS TO DEGREE COURSE IN NIE - BA/BSC (EDUN) PROGRAMME

Important Note

Candidates can apply only when application opens in Feb / Mar of each year as the BA/BSc (Edun) recruitment exercise is carried out in conjuction with NTU's University Admissions Exercise which is conducted on a yearly basis.

Candidates must:

(1) Complete the online NTU University admission application form. At least one of the choices of course in your university admission application form should be Arts (Education) or Science (Education). Details about the university admission application can be found at the NTU website;

AND

(2) After submitting your university admission application, it is important that you proceed to complete the application form for Arts (Education) and Science (Education) at MOE Teach website.

ALL successful candidates must clear their Entrance Proficiency Test (EPT) BEFORE their admission to NIE for the BA/BSc(Edun) course in July, if they do not meet the exemption criteria. Under the BA/BSc(Edun) course, candidates specialising in Mother Tongue Language (MTL), MUST also clear their English EPT if they do not meet the English exemption criteria.

BA/BSc (Edun) applicants

Please read the following instructions before accessing the on-line application form:

1. The estimated time required to complete the application is about 15 minutes. The actual time taken may vary due to other factors (e.g. background of candidate, full academic qualifications or working experience)

2. You may choose to save your application as a draft. You need not complete your application in one session. Please note that application saved in draft mode will not be processed.

3. For new users, you are required to create a new account by entering a password of your choice. For BA/BSc (Edun) applicants, you can use the PIN issued to you by NUS/NTU as the password to log in to this application, if applicable. You can also create a password of your choice.

4. The password is case-sensitive and it must contain between 8 to 30 characters. Please remember your password if you want to log in to the system again after logging out.

5. Once you have sent in your application, no further changes can be made.

6. Please remember to check all the information that you have entered before submitting your application.

7. Only shortlisted applicants will be required to attend the interview. All applicants will be notified of the outcome in writing by NUS/NTU by end Jun each year. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

8. Please register for the Entrance Proficiency Test (EPT) if you are not exempted from it by 1 Apr each year. You can register for EPT at www.relceb.org. You have to register for the Physical Proficiency Test (PPT) if you are interested in teaching PE. Registration is at www.nie.edu.sg.
